Baudhi Mai Youth Club, Himalaya Youth Club ‘A’, Ronish Youth Club, Chand Youth Cricket Club entered into the quarter finals of Janakpur Super Six Cricket Tournament on Monday here at Janakpur Ciggarette Industry Cricket ground, Janakpur..
In the first clash between Baudhi Mai Youth Club and Himalaya Youth Club ‘B’, Baudhi Mai defeated Himalaya by 11 runs. Baudhi Mai scored 57/5 after 5.0 overs. Following the target, Himalaya could only manage to get 47 runs. Rahul Thakuri was adjudged the man of the match. Later in the day, Baudhi Mai Youth Club defeated Aarya International(red) by 15 runs to book the quarter final spot.
In the second match, Himalaya Youth Club ‘A’ defeated Kanarpatti Cricket Club by 19 runs to enter into the quarter finals. Batting first Himalaya managed to make a good total of 50 runs in lost of 3 wickets in allocated 5 overs. Chasing the target, Kanarpatti could only manage to get 31 runs with losing all wickets. Umesh Sankar played a good innings for Himalaya to receive the man of the match award.
In the third match, Ronish Youth Club defeated Nuri Youth Club by 3 wickets and entered into the quarter finals. Batting first, Nuri made a total of 32 runs in lost of 5 wickets in 5 overs. In reply, Ronish Youth Club chased the target in 3.5 overs losing 2 wickets. Avinash Mahato was the man of the match.
In the forth match, Chand Youth Cricket Club defeated Siddhartha Sishu Sadan by 38 runs. Chand batting first made a big total of 75 runs in allocated 5 overs. Chasing the target, Siddhartha Sishu Sadan were all out with the score of 37 runs which ensured Chand Youth Cricket Club into quarter finals.
In a higly anticipated match of the day, Scientific Academy defeated Mit Cricket Club by 60 runs. Scientific played a big innings of 86 runs, the most made off the last three days. In reply, Mit Cricket Club were all out in 3.4 overs with 26 runs on board. Samir Nepal was adjudged as the man of the match for Scientific Academy.
On tuesday, 7 matches would be played with one match for the quarter final place.
