Nepal will play against UAE in its second group stage match of the ACC T20 Cup 2011 at TU Ground today.
Nepal and UAE both will look for the win today after their respective victories in the opening day of the tournament where Nepal made a drammatic win against Hong Kong by 2 wickets while UAE defeated Kuwait by 4 wickets yesterday.
Nepal with having the same issues in batting collapse, shall be a more careful about it today. Though the players from UAE do not have a good average run score in T20, they are good on bowling. Hard hitters can flow the runs for UAE. Today will be the judgement match as Nepal will have to perform with both the bat and ball.
UAE is the another contender for the trophy while Nepal is always. Nepal should focus on saving wickets and reducing the dot balls as possible. Opening pairs and the middle order batsman should be confident enough to play, so that they can score a good run. As seen in yesterdays match, fielding has been slightly loosened. Nepal should take on everything to make the win in their side.
While, UAE should always be prepared that Nepali Players are good in bowling and fielding. They must have already prepared their strategy for todays match.
Nepali players and coach watched the match between UAE and Kuwait yesterday at TU Ground, so Nepal must have as well already made the strategy.
Nepali coach after the match against Hong Kong said that he could field the same players today. Regarding the wrong shots that some tried yesterday he said ,”I led them to be free, they did practice these kind of shots. It doesn’t always go right. But they tried and after all we won and thats a good point.”
This was the first major match under the coaching of Pubudu Dassanayake.
Today also more than 6 thousands of crowd is expected to be in TU Ground for supporting their home team.
