Nepal wins first T20 practice match

Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Nepal National Cricket Team registered victory in the first T20 practice match played at Bharat Nagar Coaching Center Cricket Ground, Delhi today. Nepal defeated Bharat Nagar Coaching Center by six wickets.

Bharat Nagar won the toss and opted to bat first. Luv Sehrawat top scored with 54 runs remaining unbeaten as Bharat Nagar collected total of 128 runs in 20 overs losing six of their wickets. Shakri Singh19, Hiten Dalal 13 and Siddharth Sehwag 11 were some other major contributors.

Amrit Bhattarai and Jitendra Mukhiya claimed two wickets each for Nepal while Shakti Gauchan and Basanta Regmi shared wicket apiece.

In reply, Nepal chased the target in 19.2 overs losing four wickets. Gyanendra Malla remained unbeaten at 49 off 43 with three fours and a six while Binod Bhandari added 34 off 26 with two boundaries and two sixes. Subash Khakurel played 12 balls-14 with two fours and Sharad Vesawkar was not out at 13 runs with a four in his 11 ball play. Sahi Khari, Sooraj Rai and Pravesh Chikara grabbed a wicket each for the host.

Nepal had already played 4 fifty overs match where they won two and lost two. Nepal will play Talwar Cricket Academy in a T20 Daynight match on Monday.
