Kathmandu – The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has published a press release regarding Wai Wai Nepal Premier League Twenty20 to be held from April 13 in Kathmandu.
According to the press release, CAN has no-objection for the privately owned tournament organised by Zohra Sports Management (ZSM).
Similarly, CAN believes that NPL will give opportunities to players and help in the discovery of new talents. Also, CAN will not take part in any activities that involves financial and administrative work during the tournament.
“The tournament will feature national and international players as well as the officials. Therefore, the organiser should be responsible for the security and management and CAN has no objection for the players and officials taking part”, said the press release.
The tournament is sponsored by Wai Wai Noodles and features six corporate team and will played be in Kathmandu from April 13 to 22. Earlier, CAN has agreed to provide the T.U. Cricket ground for the tournament.
The 50-over edition of the tournament was held in Far-western last year.
