All round Nepal thrash Free Foster Club by 24 runs

Kathmandu/Cricnepal – Nepal finally found some form with both bat and ball, as an all round performance delivered them a 24 runs victory over Free Foster Club in the second practice match at Tonbridge Wells Cricket Club Ground in England.

Electing to bat first, Paras Khadka, Sagar Pun, and Pradeep Airee shone with the bat that helped Nepal post quiet a good total of 158/7 in allotted overs. All these three players hadn’t performed well with the bat for some time while Sagar had been the most criticised one for not being able to provide Nepal with a good start. This time though, he scored 36 runs off 34 balls opening the batting before being caught by Jeffery off Smith.

Skipper Paras Khadka put in 42 runs off 33 balls, and Pradeep Airee blasted 27 runs off just 17 balls, with Nepal finishing 158 for 7 in 20 overs.

Nepal restricted Free Foster Club for 134 for 9 in 20 overs to win the match by 24 runs. Sompal Kami was again the crucial bowler for Nepal, picking up two wickets and conceding just 17 runs in his quota of 3 overs. Shakti Gauchan, Jitendra Mukhiya, and Paras Khadka shared a wicket a piece. Nepal were brilliant in the field producing two run outs.

Nepal will play their third practice match against Gloucestershire Cricket Club on 29th June.
