West Indies announces the squad for T20 World Cup 2024

The West Indies have revealed their squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, with Rovmann Powell set to captain the 15-member team in this major event. The West Indies, who are co-hosting the tournament with the USA, have previously won the title in 2012 and 2016.

Three players from the current West Indies A team touring Nepal have also been selected for the final squad. Roston Chase, the captain of West Indies A in their series against Nepal, is among them, along with opening batter Johnson Charles and Gudakesh Motie.

Charles has been performing exceptionally well in the series against Nepal. Despite starting with a duck, he rebounded by scoring a century and then a half-century in the following game. Charles has been a regular player for the West Indies in T20I matches. Motie and Chase are also regulars in T20I matches and are performing admirably in the Nepal series.

West Indies A have already won the five-match T20 series with a match to spare. They are 3-1 ahead in the series with the last match scheduled for May 4.
